Helping to fund homeless projects across the capital
We have pledged to raise awareness and £25,000 for Streets of London.
The charity helps to fund homeless projects across the capital including drop-in centres designed to meet the immediate needs of those who have been sleeping rough. Streets of London also provides additional support and training to help homeless people take all the steps required to remain off the streets.
Funding raised by Marsh & Parsons will be used to give more homeless people access to English tuition, volunteer progression programmes and employment support. More specialist advice is available for young homeless people who can start to build their life-skills and migrants who may need assistance navigating the legal side of their situation.
We will work closely with Streets of London to tackle the stigma surrounding homelessness and empower those who have suffered it to come off the streets and take an active role in their community.
Aiding re-introduction of people into the community is an extension of our ongoing efforts to positively impact the areas in which we operate. As well as spreading the Streets of London message at the community events we sponsor throughout the year, we will be holding company-wide initiatives to engage everyone at Marsh & Parsons in a collective fundraising effort.
We have organised a full calendar of events including a relay race across our office network and an inter-office sports day. Many staff are also taking part in individual challenges, one of which will be the annual Streets of London Sleep-Out scheduled to take place on Friday 9th October.
