Our partnership with St Mary’s Primary School began soon after our office opened in Chiswick in 2018. The school is filled with children, parents and teachers who share our wish to positively impact the environment in which we live and work. The environmental initiative driven by the parents and teachers is at the forefront of life at the school.

At the summer fair in 2019, the school proudly opened the Chiswick Oasis, a project endorsed by many celebrities including Emma Thompson, David Dimbleby, Jeremy Paxman and Claudia Winkleman. As the school is positioned so close to the A4, the parents and teachers were very keen to reduce pollution by unveiling a 126m long living wall that houses 12,000 plants. In addition to this, the school has installed an air-purification unit, regularly holds “No Cars Friday” and even the paint used by the children in the classroom is said to clean the air by as much as 88%.

We were thrilled to be a part of the unveiling of the Oasis and worked hard to publicise the event in the summer. Our designs for the programmes and sponsorship boards were filled with greenery which brightened the streets of Chiswick. We were very proud to attend to hand out the programmes, sell raffle tickets and speak to the parents and teachers about the initiative. We even managed to meet Sadiq Kahn who was eager to see the impressive living wall for himself.
