Since 2016, Marsh & Parsons has supported the Hammersmith Community Gardens Association (HCGA). The organisation manages four community gardens in Hammersmith and Fulham:

  • Godolphin garden
  • Loris Garden
  • Ravenscourt Glasshouses
  • Phoenix Farm

Led by local residents, the gardens are maintained by volunteers and are used as an educational resource by local schools and gardening groups.

Each year we take part in the Askew Road May Fair and Christmas Lights Switch On which take place on Starch Green, W6. Both fairs are huge events in the Askew Road calendar, and we love to greet local families with an ice cream in the summer or mulled wine at Christmas time. The green is transformed into a stage for Morris dancers in May and in December the giant evergreen is decked with lights while carol-singers get us into the Christmas spirit. Together with other local businesses, we celebrate the success of the HCGA at each event and raise money to fund the running of a range of projects including conservation training schemes, health and wellbeing projects and volunteer gardening sessions.
