We are very proud to have been on the event committee for Portman Square Garden Party since 2018. The garden party is an iconic event that sees Portman Square, which is usually reserved for Portman Square residents, opened up for a village fete with a contemporary twist. Ticket holders are treated to an evening of five-star food and drink, live music and a raffle draw of luxury prizes donated by local businesses in Marylebone. Goodie bags for each guest are packed with more treats to be enjoyed at home. All profits from the event are donated to a local charity which is carefully selected by the committee each year.

In 2018, FoodCycle Marylebone, a charity that cleverly tackles food waste and loneliness in the area, benefitted from £19,959 raised from the garden party. We were very keen to beat this total in 2019 and were delighted to be able to present Greenhouse Sports with a cheque for £20,227. The charity, who uses sports coaching to develop the Social, Thinking, Emotional and Physical (STEP) abilities of young people from disadvantaged communities, used the funds to buy new ping-pong tables and provide support and mentoring for more children in the surrounding areas.
